Abstrakt: Growing tomatoes is a very profitable activity for the countryside. They are grown for the fruits that are used in food, fresh, prepared, dehydrated, canned, pasta, sauces, broths, juices, etc. Currently, there is a positive development trend in the production of vegetables through the constant increase of the areas, the special interest of the farmers in practicing the given business, the short period of recovery of the investments and the support offered by the Government through the subsidies granted to compensate a part of the investment. The paper describes the technology of obtaining seedlings, the method of harvesting, conditioning tomatoes and the processing technology. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
