Abstrakt:	The article discusses updates in the efforts to achieve diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in health science education. Also cited are how the memorandum by U.S. President Barack Obama to the National Security Workforce on the need to diversify American workforce led to creation of DEI policies in various professions, the importance of DEI in health care, and the potential positive outcomes of a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce like improved morale, and reduced conflict.
