The article explores a case study of the Tomtom neighborhood to examine the effects of large-scale events on local initiatives and investment in the cultural future of Istanbul, Turkey. Topics discussed the use of the creative city concept to develop the cultural and creative sphere in the city, the popularity of the city as a design hub, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on such initiatives. |
