Abstrakt:	The article reports that the Confidential Department of the Ministry of the Interior in Mexico compiled an extensive file on the death of Cuban communist leader Julio Antonio Mella, which occurred on January 10, 1929 in the streets of Mexico City, when he was accompanied by his partner, the photographer and also left-wing activist, Tina Modotti.
