The article reports that the Caribbean region and its meaning in the history of Mexico has been a topic of conjuncture for Mexican historiography; with a few very respectable exceptions. Topics include considered that the journey make through the long life of the Mexican History magazine, published by El Colegio de México since 1951, offers a general vision of what has been said and allows to see the pulse of the topics of interest and current affairs for national historians. |
