Abstrakt: This chapter presents information on preventing sexually transmitted diseases. Not having sex is called abstinence, and it is the only way to keep yourself absolutely safe. Safe sex can mean having a mutually monogamous relationship with someone who is not infected. This means that you are both only engaging in sexual activity with each other. However, if person does decide to have sex, there are a number of ways to greatly decrease one's risk of infection. Male condoms are one of the most common ways of limiting the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
