Holding elections under the pressure of a pandemic hasbecome old hat for Portugal. In sum, there is clearly a pool of potential voters inPortugal for a populist, far-right party like Chega toexploit, an electorate that, even with somecountry-specific particularities, resembles that of otherEuropean far-right parties.
