What makes the project interactive is the robust website containing oral histories, images, blog posts, and digital exhibits about the WAVES, in addition to a fifty-six-minute documentary film. The interactive documentary I Homefront Heroines: The WAVES of WWII i offers a wealth of biographical detail about women who joined the Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES).
