Abstrakt: Major challenges of the twenty first century is to protect the environment from differentpollutions. There is a lot of deterioration of the environment due to excessive use of the energy and raw material consumption by the human beings. Recent developments in the technologies and improved life standard of human beings is the major cause behind this. Asa human being we have responsibility to reduce the energy use as well as raw material consumption. Recycling of the products is one of the way to achieve this goal. Remanufacturing stands tall in recyclingprocesses as itpreserves the energy incorporated in product while manufacturing as well as efficiency of the process. In this paper rapier is taken as a case for determine thefeasibility of them for remanufacturing using the computation intelligence. Rapier is the component used in textile loom in weavingprocess. Textile covers larger portion in Indian industry, remanufacturing of textile components willgive major impact to achieve the objectives of recycling. Rapiers from the different industries were collected for analysis. As rapier is assembly of different sub components, end of life condition of these components decides the eligibility of rapier for remanufacturing. Assessment of these components also givesfurther guideline for designer for updating of the design in perspective of remanufacturing. Here in this manuscript Fuggy TOPSIS is used to find out the critical components which gives maximum impact over the remanufacturing of rapier. Further Taguchi desirability analysis is used to detect actual condition with respective to newer one which helps to select the components for remanufacturing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
