Abstrakt: Primary liposarcoma at vallecula is an extremely rare tumor in hypopharyngeal region. Vallecular liposarcoma shares both clinical and imaging features with other common lesions at this site such as benign lipoma, mucus retention cysts, fibrovascular/ inflammatory polyp and epithelial malignancies extending from adjacent anatomical structures. The two closest mimickers in laryngeal region, atypial lipoma and well differentiated liposarcoma are very difficult to differentiate on laryngoscopic examination and radiological investigations. Dedifferentiation; a poor prognostic histological feature can rarely occur after multiple recurrences but liposarcoma with de novo de-differentiation in larynx is very rare. Herein, we describe a case of liposarcoma with de novo de-differentiation originating from vallecula in a 66 years old male with review of literatures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
