Abstrakt: Some views on the competitive advantage of media content are presented. The mass media industry has gone through many transitions with the evolution of communication and information technology. During the 1990's; the development and deployment of digital technology has shaped wireless mobile and personal communications systems. The mass media industry has placed emphasis on brand value to attract more people from a fragmented society. This entails the creation of brands that can effectively build an engaging relationship with the audience. The author works for entertainment company Walt Disney. Throughout its decades of existence, the company faced competition among programmers while providing viewer's demand for content. The company draws its strategy from three priorities: strengthening and extending the global reach of our brands, creation of content franchises across lines of business, and the development of technologies that will help improve the quality of content.
