The article reports on a new systematic review and meta-analysis as of June 2021, which examined the effectiveness of antenatal perineal massage (APM) in reducing trauma during vaginal delivery. Other topics include the benefits of APM like improve relaxation of the perineal muscles and vasodilation of blood vessels, and the percentage of women suffering from perineal trauma during childbirth. |
