Abstrakt: The article focuses on secondary consequences of autonomic nervous system (ANS) dysfunction in the spinal cord injury (SCI) community. Topics discussed include development of the International Standards to document Autonomic Function following SCI; impact of SCI on ANS neural control of cardiovascular, thermal and sudomotor, bronchopulmonary, and sacral organ system function; and association between changes in ANS function correspondent with changes in the neurological level of injury.
