This audit was undertaken to assess quality of record keeping for patients undergoing intravenous sedation for Oral Surgery at Great Western Hospital (GWH). We highlighted areas requiring improvement comparing our cords against gold standards for records from SDCEP guidelines. Areas which needed improvement were identified and a template was created to streamline the paperwork element for treatment sessions and increase quality of records taken. The second cycle showed significant improvement with implementation of the template to standardise notes which all clinicians should be recording. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
