Abstrakt: Allocating organization resources to information technology and information systems is often termed information economics. It is a management methodology for allocating resources among competing IT/IS alternatives. Originally created as a prioritization methodology for information technology (IT) development projects, information economics has been widely extended for use in managing the complete organization expenditures on information technology (the "IT spend"), including information technology asset and portfolio management.
