The article present a study that seeks to identify methods to make the determination between squamous cell carcinoma in situ (SCCis) and microinvasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) with a greater degree of certainty with the use of special stains. It mentions that SCC may have prognostic and therapeutic implications. It also mentions that cutaneous SCC may be difficult to identify in certain cases with H&E staining alone. |
