FEATURE THERE IS A ROAD LEADING OUT OF EVANSTON, Wyoming, that is known as the Road to Nowhere. Critics were also worried about the message a detention center would send to Evanston's Latino and immigrant community, which makes up around 10% of the town. For Tim Beppler, the detention center felt like an unsettling echo of that history - a time when the town was caught up in anti-immigrant sentiments and policies.
