The article discusses that gender and ethnic diversity clearly link to profitability, women and minorities continue to be underrepresented and the percentage of women in the technology industry is still only 26%; the percentage of women of color in that industry hovers at 11%. It mentions that the common theme among most barriers perceived by African-American women is a lack of connection with influential others: not having an influential mentor. |
