Abstrakt: The article offers information on the remodeling the curriculum for student persistence in Small Language Programs. Topics include language department's initiatives to reverse its downward enrollment trends by increasing students; the struggle for student persistence has been recognized as a problem in foreign language programs; and students are given the unpleasant task of taking a test that will judge their abilities.
