It is the purpose of the present article to give a brief survey of the various in vitro methods currently employed for detection of tumour-directed, cell-mediated hypersensitivity (TCMH) in man, and especially to discuss recent technical modifications of the leucocyte migration techniques LMT and the results obtained with these techniques in human tumour immunology. Moreover, it is intended to give a survey of LMT studies in human renal carcinoma, and on this background to present a general hypothesis concerning the interrelations between TCMH and renal carcinoma in different clinical stages. |
