Abstrakt: The article describes different aspects of Dementia. Dementia is a term which refers to a general mental deterioration. Other major categories of mental disorder in which patients may nominally fulfill dementia diagnostic criteria, but in which other, nonementia, clinical diagnoses would apply include substance related disorders and delirium. The leading cause of dementia has been discussed. It is characteristic clinical and pathological process. There is abundant and consistent evidence that a characteristic clinical course of the Dementia of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is described.
