Abstrakt: B Background: b Our objective was to compare the difference in survival, margin free resection and recurrence or progression of the disease in patients in which a liver resection was done with findings of an intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (IHCC) depending on the presence of previous malignant disease (PMD) or its absence (NPMD). In our experience 35.7% of the patients with postoperative findings of IHCC reach the operating room with a history of a previous malignant disease and therefore an uncertain or mistaken diagnosis.
