Abstrakt: This study explored the needs of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Texas Affiliate in response to changes at the national level. The study was launched in 2014 with an online survey administered through PsychData to members in 2015 and again in 2017. Results showed a predominance of female (98%) retired members who expressed a concern for the lack of involved young professionals. Affiliate members valued collaboration, networking, and professional development. They expressed concerns involving visibility and relevance of the organization, maximizing assets to sustain membership, and avoiding aging out. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
