Abstrakt: Objective: The goal of this case study is to report and review the literature about the rare appearance of a compound odontoma associated with transmigration of a permanent canine. Materials and Methods: A literature search was performed. References were selected based on systematic reviews, meta-analysis and case reports, English language. Report of Case: A female African patient was referred because of incidental findings on her orthopantomography, including impacted canine and radiopaque lesion in the anterior mandible. Following CBCT evaluation, the case had been approached by enucleation. Diagnosis of a compound odontoma was confirmed by histopathological evaluation. Conclusion: Subsequent to our literature review, a compound odontoma causing transmigration of a permanent mandibular canine is a rare clinical finding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
