This article reports on the appointment and resignation of information technology officials within the U.S. government, as of July 2004. Tad Anderson, the Office of Management and Budget's associate administrator for e-government, is returning to the private sector to join Dutko Government Markets of the Dutko Group Companies. Dawn Meyerriecks, the CTO for the Defense Information Systems Agency, will be leaving the government to take a job in the private sector. Stephen McHale will step down from his post as deputy administrator at the Transportation Security Administration after 23 years of federal service. Acting Defense Department comptroller and CFO Larry Lanzillotta left to take a position at Northrop Grumman Corp. Daniel Caprio Jr., appointed assistant secretary for technology policy at the Commerce Department, was also named the department's chief privacy officer. Paul Chan, who served as CIO for the Agriculture Department's Economic Research Service, has been tapped as the National Weather Service's new CIO. |
