The article focuses on driving restrictions for patients after median sternotomy conducted in hospitals. Topics discussed include differences between driving restrictions imposed by different hospitals after median sternotomy; the reasons for driving restrictions which include the need to avoid frontal or lateral plane forces on the sternum for proper healing of the bone; and cardiac rehabilitation (CR) program for median sternotomy patients. |
