The Surveying and Geomatics Educators Society (SaGES) held their 26th Biannual Conference at Oregon State University (OSU) in Corvallis, OR, from July 30 to August 3, 2017. This innovative conference provides an opportunity to discuss and find solutions to the many challenges and opportunities facing geomatics education. It also enables educators to develop and share effective teaching strategies for the variety of content needed by geomatics students. The conference theme, "Where the Point Meets the Cloud," focused on finding strength in numbers by working together to tackle the many challenges facing the geomatics profession.
