The stabilization of two inorganic wastes (hydroxide sludge and metal fibers) in mortars (cement-based CEM I, W / C = 0.5) was considered in the paper. The optimum fibers is 20% by mass for the maximum compressive and splitting tensile strength .The analysis by the Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry leachate allowed monitoring the release of polluting species in different study environments. The results including physical, mechanical and leaching behavior under different environments (neutral, sulfated), have shown the effectiveness of the waste containment in cementitious matrices. The use of SEM-EDX and FT-IR is a considerable contribution to the confirmation of the results obtained by XRD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
