The article discusses how youth become radicalized or join violent extremist groups in order to help establish a sense of identity, community, and purpose indicating that the youth are susceptible to radicalization as they have typical yet unmet psychosocial needs that are exploited by extremist groups. Topics include Picciolini's six step deradicalization model, role played by school psychologist, and disillusion of extremism. |
