Abstrakt:This scientific research is intended to determine if the TV series The Big Bang Theory influences students to pursue the physics degree. It establishes the economic character of Motion Pictures Productions Organizations as well as their potential to produce cultural tools. It details the way companies increase their wealth through the film and TV series production and the educational benefits that such products can have in spectators. It analyzes the performance in the number of audience, the advertisements prices and the percentage of positive criticism that The Big Bang Theory has throughout history. It shows how producers can capture students' attention by including certain element in their creations. Scientific illiteracy is proposed as an area of opportunity to be exploited by the film organizations in the quest to increase profits and influence and educate the market. Finally, a survey was applied among physics students to locate the degree in which the series contributed to the career choice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
