The article examines the potential use of the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technology in reducing the number of individuals with disabilities associated with genetic aberrations. It describes the use of the technology in editing DNA as well as the key molecules that introduce a mutation into the DNA. It also discusses the ethical implications of editing reproductive cells using the technology. |
