Abstrakt: Pelvic schwannoma (PS) is a rare benign tumor arising from schwann cells of peripheral nerve sheath. Ancient schwannoma is an exceptional histological subtype of typical schwannoma with degenerative findings. We report, to our knowledge, the third case of retroperitoneal ancient schwannoma occurred in a 23-years-old woman with pelvic pain and left sciatalgy. Clinical and most imaging findings suggested an ovarian tumor. Only the MRI features indicated that this pelvic mass was well separated from uterus and ovaries. The percutaneous biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. The tumor was resected surgically with no evidence of recurrence. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
