Abstrakt:	The article reports on the Renaissance altarpiece of San Juan del Obispo in Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. Topics discussed include the altarpiece contracts for the Chapel of the Rosary of the Spaniards, in the temple of Santo Domingo in the years of 1615, and 1692; works of painters Quirio Cataño, Pedro de Liendo and altarpiece assembler Vicente de la Parra; and a painting by Jacopo di Ponti.
