Khadi is very old traditional cotton fabric, popularised by Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi. II is prepared by hand-spinning yarn and weaving it on a handloom. This fabric is not very popular among the new generation. There are various reasons for this, such as poor appearance and feel, low lustre, poor softness and lack of functional finishes. By the application of nano-particle- size silicone softener, it is possible to improve the fabric performance. Nanosilicone softener in combination with polyvinyl acetate significantly improved the fabric properties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
