Abstrakt:	News briefs are presented on Eastern European politics and international relations. Information is presented on an August 28, 2017 speech by Czech prime minister Bohuslav Sobotka on European Union-Czech relations as well as division of refugees between Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Italy, and Greece and a campaign by Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orban against declared enemy of the state George Soros.
