Abstrakt: In the UK, approximately 1000 new patients are diagnosed with a pituitary tumour every year. Although a predominantly benign condition, if untreated it may lead to visual compromise, endocrine effects of hypersecretion or hypopituitarism. These complications are associated with significant morbidity and mortality. This article provides an overview of the presentation and management of pituitary tumours. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
