Abstrakt: The sclera, often called the white of the eye, is a firm and fibrous coating that shapes the eyeball and protects the delicate structures within it. The cornea, sometimes called the window of the eye is a tough, transparent membrane that covers the front of the eye. The iris is the colored part of the eye between the cornea and the lens. The pupil is the round black hole in the center of the iris. The lens focuses the light rays coming through the pupil to form images on the retina. Eyes are made up of an incredible number of cells that perform amazing duties to allow one to see near and far at the same time. Most people see floating black spots or flashes of light once in a while because of harmless changes in the vitreous and the retina.
