Abstrakt: Memory is a complicated multi-departmental operation that does its work at many diverse brain sites, a lot of which have not even been located by neuroscientists. A student who struggles with a learning disorder may also face a psychiatric disorder like ADHD, bipolar disorder, or Tourette's syndrome. A child with a learning disorder may have difficulty perceiving written shapes. Children with a learning disorder, however, may skip over words, read the same line twice, or skip lines. The ability to put things in a sequence is a vital skill for understanding mathematics. Children who have a problem with the memory step of learning will obviously be unable to perform well on tests. A learning disorder does not mean a person complete high school and attend college.
