Abstrakt:	The article examines how post-modernism has determined and developed the Indian novels and novelists, especially Amitav Ghosh. Topics discussed include brief personal profile of Ghosh, the post-modernism elements in Ghosh's novels, the magical realism illustrated in Ghosh's novels and the post-modern themes of his novels such as insecurities, disorientation and fragmentation.
