Stressed patients often use negative coping of behavioral disengagement, venting, and self-blame. While, patients who are considered non-stressed regularly use planning coping. Discussion: Stress is not too apparent among MetS patients. Non-stressed patients prefer to use good coping and stressed patients prefer to use dysfunctional coping which it might cause them remain in stress. Intervention to encourage and promote the use of good coping is important to prevent development of further psychological problems among chronic metabolic disorder patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
