This article discusses the social movements and student protests in Chile in 2011. The author comments on the demands for the implementation of new educational policies and examines the representation of the student-led protests in the Chilean media. The distribution of a so-called anti-manifesto titled "En defensa de la capucha," which advocated for more violent and destructive behavior, is also explored. |
