Abstrakt:	The article discusses the efforts to improve the safety of the use of medical imaging procedures, particularly computed tomography (CT) scanning, in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, specially children. It focuses on the campaigns launched by the Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imaging, namely, the Image Gently campaign and the Think A-Head initiative. Also cited are such other topics as the low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle.
