Abstrakt: Ripple structures on surfaces of different materials - insulators, semiconductors, metals or polymers - are widely used in hydrophobicity control of surfaces, metal colorization and blackening, in sensitive optical elements etc. By appropriately selecting the experimental parameters ripples can be generated on target surface using multiple ultrashort laser pulses. In our work ripples on stainless steel were formed using femtosecond laser pulses and their morphology and absorptance dependence on the experimental conditions was studied [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
