SPECTRAL PROPERTIES OF HEMATOPORPHYRIN IN LIPID SOLUTIONS.

Abstrakt: Hematoporphyrin (HP) dye and synthetic phospholipids (DPPC) in chloroform solution was investigated. Changes in fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra indicate creation of complexes in the range of concentrations 10-3 - 10-4 of these compounds. Photo induced electron paramagnetic resonance spectra (EPR) for these samples directly show existence of charge transfer complexes in liquid nitrogen temperature. In 77 K radicals are stable, but thawing the sample to room temperature is recombinating the radicals and EPR signal disappear. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
