Abstrakt: Fragmentation of the gas phase tryptophan molecule (C11H12N2O2) by a low-energy (<70 eV) electron impact was studied both experimentally and theoretically. The positively charged fragments were observed. A special attention was paid to the effects caused by persistent changes in both the structure of the molecule and the energy characteristics of the ionic fragment yield. The chemical composition of the fragments was identified. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
