Occupational noise. Risk assesment hearing loss using homogenous exposure noise groups.

Abstrakt: The paper presents a technical method in order to measure noise exposure evaluation in working environment and for the calculation of noise exposure levels. The research presented in the paper is very useful when there is necessary a technical class determination of noise exposure, for example for detailed studies of noise exposure, for epidemiological studies of hearing loss and for observing other negative effects regarding noise exposure. The method requires observing and analyzing of all noise exposure conditions in order to control the quality of measurements. The work analysis shall provide sufficient information about the work and the workers under consideration so that an appropriate measurement strategy can be selected and measurements can be planned. The method was applied in a tyres factory analysing half of the working staff, covering all the production workplaces. The results obtained according to this method provided sufficient information in order to define the main priorities regarding noise protection plan. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
