The article reports that according to the National Academies of Science (NAS), the problem of choosing veterinary medicine which are not being considered into large-animal practice and how the small-animal practice is driven by income considerations. Topic discussed include how the number of veterinarians in large animal practice is declining, how cattle's are becoming vulnerable to disease due to lack of large-animal veterinarians and the increase in death of livestock that could be prevented. |
