The article discusses the benefits of occupational therapy (OT) fieldwork. It notes that fieldwork helps in the transition of OT students to competent practitioners. It cites different settings where fieldwork experiences may occur for the OT student including medical, educational, and community-based. It notes that OT students can also develop other essential competencies from doing fieldwork such as advocacy, leadership, managerial skills, and professional identity. |
