Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study in relation to teaching and learning mathematics. It discusses the nature and elements of argumentation as well as its role, use, and effect in group activities aimed at mathematics learning. It also discusses the use of audio and video recordings of several lessons in a teaching experiment done in a mathematics classroom.
