Abstrakt: The article discusses new data from the archaeological site (DcEs-1) in Chicoutimi (Saguenay, Québec). The author notes that this new data helps to identify settlers who occupied this space from 1000 to 1676, hypothesizes that the Algonquians from Lac Saint-Jean spent more time in Chicoutimi after the disappearance of the Iroquois and the arrival of the Europeans, and mentions the presence of the Kakouchacks, part of the Algonquian band, based on the discovery of chalcedony on the site.
